Connected Homes
The BEAMA Connected Homes Group represents manufacturers of devices and providers or services or systems relating to all aspects of smart and connected buildings and their electrical and communications connections.
We are committed to promoting standards, specifications, regulations and policy that make buildings smart, liveable, energy efficient and net providers of energy network flexibility.
The work program of the Group is led by members. Current activities are focused on three areas:
- Leading BEAMA’s engagement with BEIS Energy Smart Appliance workstream and industry efforts to define the architecture of the smart home and demand-response, including the Customer Energy Manager.
- Making every UK building smart, efficient and future-ready by working to ensure the UK has the right standards, specifications, regulations and policies to ensure a strong market for behind-the-meter flexibility and the devices, systems, services and products to deliver this flexibility.
- Cyber security and the digital transformation of both the economy and the built environment.
