Post-Event Summary: Commercial Vehicle Show 2025 – Electrification Takes Centre Stage
The Commercial Vehicle Show 2025, held at the NEC Birmingham from 29 April to 1 May, proved to be a tremendous success — and a clear signal of where the industry is heading. With over 300 exhibitors and more than 15,000 attendees, the show reaffirmed its position as the UK’s leading event for road transport, logistics, and distribution.
What was most striking this year was the strong focus on electrification. From compact electric vans to heavy-duty e-HGVs designed for haulage, construction, and recovery, there was a powerful sense that the commercial vehicle sector is not just preparing for an electric future — it's actively building it.
The EV Village was a standout area of the show, drawing large crowds throughout the event. A constant stream of EV-focused presentations and seminars showcased the latest in vehicle innovation, charging solutions, and policy developments. The level of engagement highlighted growing confidence in the technology and a shared urgency to scale up supporting infrastructure.
It is now unmistakably clear: combustion engines are on their way out, and electric commercial vehicles are rapidly becoming the new standard. As an industry, we must ensure that the right infrastructure, regulation, and investment are in place to support this transition at speed.
As a proud partner of this year's show, BEAMA welcomed the opportunity to engage with stakeholders across the sector. We're committed to playing a key role in supporting the development of the systems and standards needed to power a decarbonised transport future.
The momentum is real — and it’s electric.
