Electrical and communications connections
There are strong Government policy objectives pointing towards greater interoperability of EV charging infrastructure. BEAMA is working to ensure that this will be consistent and appropriate and that it supports a strong and competitive market for EVI providers. We are also focused on how EV infrastructure works with other electrical and communications connections in the built environment, including smart metering and energy management. We are intent on ensuring that the electrification of road transport is consistent with a safe, flexible, reliable, efficient and low-carbon energy system.
