European Parliament plenary adopts the agreement on the EU Machinery Regulation

On 18 April 2023, the European Parliament Plenary gave its final approval to the new machinery regulation that was agreed on with the Council in December 2022. The regulation passed with 595 votes in favour, 7 votes against, and 30 abstentions. Publication of the Regulation in the Official Journal is expected in July 2023 and the regulation will become applicable January 2027.
