Early-career engineers and technical professionals in the UK are being invited to apply for the IEC Young Professionals Programme 2026, a unique opportunity to represent the UK and help shape the future of international electrotechnical standards.
Delivered by BSI in partnership with BEAMA and GAMBICA, the programme offers selected participants an all-expenses-paid place at the 90th IEC General Meeting, taking place in Hamburg, Germany from 14th to 20th November 2026.
The initiative, led by the IEC, brings together the next generation of engineers, technicians and managers from around the world. Participants gain first-hand insight into how global standards are developed, while building international networks and contributing to discussions that shape the future of electrotechnology.
Engineers or managers aged 35 or under, who are living and working in the UK in sectors relevant to the IEC, are encouraged to apply.
Application deadline: 29 May 2026
Successful applicants will not only attend the IEC General Meeting but will also gain opportunities to engage with UK standards committees, join the BSI Young Professionals community, and connect with leaders across industry and standards development.
